Support our Pesach appeal

30 March 2017

Kisharon’s delightful Pesach appeal story book will ensure no-one feels excluded at the seder table this year.

Kisharon has produced an engaging 16-page easy-to-read story of Pesach to accompany the Haggadah, with eye-catching, colourful illustrations created by people supported by Kisharon. Key songs and brachot are written phonetically and, with enchanting drawings, everyone, no matter their background or ability, will be able to participate and ask questions at the seder.

In his welcome to the book, Kisharon’s Rabbi Harvey Belovski says: “I am delighted to recommend this Kisharon initiative which illustrates the great importance of creating spaces for all in our community to feel welcome around the seder table.”

This useful book has been sent to all Kisharon supporters and friends in the Pesach appeal, but additional copies are available from the gift store, Equal in Temple Fortune or by calling 020 8457 5000.

Dr Beverley Jacobson, Chief Executive said: “The seder is a time when everyone is encouraged to ask questions, and we want to empower all those around the table to ask their own questions. Kisharon’s easy-to-read Pesach story gives people with learning disabilities and the wider community, tools to feel connected. This book also gave many of the people we support the opportunity to engage with Pesach by sharing their creative visual interpretation.”
