We help people find employment, learn to travel, to feel comfortable and to succeed at work. We work with local businesses to identify jobs and create opportunities, allowing everyone in our community to explore their potential for work.
Our partners tell us that working with people Kisharon support has enhanced their working environments and they have gained valuable members of staff.
We source placements for people in part-time jobs in supermarkets, schools, banks, solicitors and estate agents. We specialise in supporting those furthest from the open employment market, and our retention rate is high.
The employment department continues to expand and in 2015 was awarded the internationally acclaimed Ruderman Prize of $50, 000. In 2018, the team received WIZO UK’s Commitment Award for Vocational Training.
Team
Shlomo Weltman, our Employment Manager, recognised that the people we support had untapped potential and could contribute in a positive way through employment. He launched Kisharon’s Supported Employment Programme and was runner up REED Social Care Carer of the Year.
