“People we support love this work,” said Aviva Braunold, organiser of this year’s Rosh Hashanah packing project.
Jewish personnel in the British Armed Forces received Pesach supplies from Kisharon, with one recipient saying his box was ‘one of the highlights of the year’.
Pesach is coming and more than 1,000 school pupils across London will be taking part in The Big Sweep, one of Kisharon’s social enterprise projects online early evening on Thursday 14 April.
Kisharon College students have packed 1800 mishloach manot for children in time for Purim. The bags with sweets, crisps and a drink will be given to pupils at primary schools and shul communal events.
Hundreds of children in schools, shuls, cheders and even hospitals painted, decorated and – hopefully lit – Kisharon’s wooden chanukiahs in a mammoth social enterprise this Chanukah.
Patients in hospital over Rosh Hashanah can make kiddush and enjoy apple dipped in honey. The kiddush boxes, which have been paid for by an anonymous donor, will be presented to patients with a hearty L’Shana Tova meal from Bedside Kosher.
