Kisharon means talent and when Chava Lehman founded the charity in 1976 with one small classroom and borrowed tables and chairs, she was determined to ensure people with learning disabilities were cared for and given opportunities to realise their potential.

Today, Kisharon transforms the lives of people with a wide range of learning disabilities providing holistic, integrated and comprehensive support. Our vision is for individuals with learning disabilities to live in a world where they have the same opportunities as their mainstream peers.

Many of the people who come to Kisharon are facing multiple and complex learning disabilities, but through personalised programmes of education and support they are able to realise their potential, achieve independence and enjoy a fulfilling life as part of their community.
