This year’s Rosh Hashanah appeal is unique. It is the first time any charity has been responsible for the design, packing and mailing preparation of its appeal and we have achieved this, with the people we support making it happen.
The appeal, which will be delivered soon, is an important part of Kisharon’s annual fundraising programme. It is hoped every recipient will make a donation.
Every envelope contains a pack of limited edition Rosh Hashanah cards showcasing art from children at Tuffkid Nursery and Kisharon School.
The concept of the appeal was conceived by Equal Creative, Kisharon’s not-for profit design enterprise.
Adults attending Kisharon’s day services at Stamford Hill packed 20,000 Rosh Hashanah greetings cards with envelopes into packs of four. Next, the packs were slipped into 4,000 appeal envelopes, complete with letters from Kisharon’s Chief Executive Beverley Jacobson.
The icing on the cake was the early completion of the tasks by the keen teams of packers.
Kisharon’s Creative Head Beverley Kaye, who devised the Rosh Hashanah campaign and arranged for the Stamford Hill team to pack it said: “I am absolutely thrilled at how adult day services at Stamford Hill took on this project and completed it ahead of time. A big pat on the back to all of them. This is the first time any charity has designed and packed their own appeal. It’s an incredible achievement.”
The final word came from Stamford Hill Team Leader Micki Herzog, who said: “We are looking forward to a celebratory lunch to mark our success and launch our new initiative to do future mailings for Kisharon and other organisations.”
