Kisharon thrives at the Maccabi GB Community Fun Run

08 August 2022

Twenty-eight people across 12 families participated in walking or running 1K, 5K and 10K for Kisharon on Sunday at the Maccabi GB Community Fun Run.

Twenty-six people Kisharon supports also took part. It is an event that many really look forward to.  Two, Debbie and Eli, helped to raise vital funds through their own fundraising pages.  They, together with others from Kisharon, were beaming as they went round the track.

Not only were the people Kisharon supports walking and running, many support workers joined them too. One, Service Manager Afolake Fakeye was accompanied by her 10-year-old son who enjoyed the event. He met the people his mother works with and found out the difference she makes to their day.

Emma Nagli, Fundraising Manager, said: “We were delighted to see so many people we support take part at the Maccabi GB Community Fun Run. It was wonderful to see so many of the Kisharon support workers walking and running alongside the Kisharon family – seeing everyone happy and thriving. Thank you to all those who fundraised and supported us at the event.”

In total Kisharon raised in excess of £1,300 with donations still coming in.
