Kisharon kicks off Purim appeal at Mathilda Marks Kennedy School

17 March 2016

Debbie Rosten launched Kisharon’s Purim Bucket appeal at Mathilda Marks Kennedy School, where she teaches Hebrew reading.

Fundraising and Marketing Director Richard Franklin visited Immanuel College, Yavneh College, Haberdashers’ School for Boys and Etz Chaim Jewish Primary School to talk about Kisharon’s work and to encourage the youngsters to raise money for Kisharon. So far, Mathilda Marks Kennedy School, Immanuel College and Etz Chaim are to donate funds to Kisharon.

At Immanuel College, students considered the challenges faced by people with learning disabilities by viewing Kisharon’s award-winning three minute video showing life through the eyes of someone who is hypersensitive and has complex learning needs. Naomi Amdurer, Deputy Head of Middle School, said: “Kisharon does fantastic work in the community – we are extremely excited to be helping with their Purim drive again this year.”

Last year more than 300 collectors filled their Purim buckets for Kisharon and raised £25,000. This year, Kisharon hopes to match, or exceed this figure.
