Kisharon films scoop a hat-trick of awards

06 May 2016

Working with Kisharon has earned three awards for production company Vanilla Films.

The powerful video, ‘Through my Eyes‘ which was shown at Kisharon’s annual dinner last year has just won a Grand Prix Award. The same film scooped a Gold EVCOM Clarion Award, and Kisharon’s appeal film ‘What do you see when you look at me?‘ also picked up an EVCOM Clarion award – this time for innovation.
Debra Sobel, Co-Managing Director of Vanilla Films with Karen Benveniste, said: “Vanilla Films is thrilled to have won another film award for Kisharon, on our 10th anniversary.  This Grand Prix award reflects the best of the best, so is particularly special.

“It’s always a challenge to find new and innovative ways to present a charity’s case for fundraising, and it’s always a pleasure to work with Kisharon on this.  Our collaboration means we get fantastic results, and we’re delighted to be associated with this amazing charity.”

Kisharon Chief Executive, Dr Beverley Jacobson, said: “It is important to Kisharon that our films, in addition to their fundraising function, serve to challenge societal views and advocate for individuals with learning challenges. Vanilla Film’s flair has been in finding creative and innovative ways to achieve this and this Grand Prix Award is thoroughly deserved.”

Vanilla Films is in the final stages of editing a new film to be premiered at Kisharon’s 40th anniversary dinner on 22 May in central London.

In selecting the Grand Prix Award winner, judges consider all previous gold EVCOM Clarion award winners. These are the industry’s leading awards for recognising best practice in communicating the importance of corporate social responsibility, diversity, community development, ethical health, education and welfare issues in the public, charity, social enterprise and corporate sectors.
