Kisharon Crowdfunding Campaign Raises More Than £570k

31 May 2023

More than 3,000 donors made sure Kisharon can continue to fund essential services for children and adults with learning disabilities by raising more than £570,000 in the crowdfunding campaign.

Jessica Levy, Fundraising Co-Director said: “The future sees an anticipated 12 per cent increase in demand for our services. This paired with the cost of living crisis and rising inflation rates means the money raised will make a huge difference.  We are all so grateful for every donation to ensure the people we support can continue to thrive.”

One of the 120 successful fundraising teams, raising more than £13,000 from over 200 donors included Kisharon people in the social enterprises packing team.

Learning and Development Lead Aviva Braunold said: “It’s just incredible to see the amount of support, kindness and generosity from each person who donated to our team. It is the act of giving and support in any way possible which means so much and the words of encouragement have been so motivating, exciting and humbling to receive for everyone in the team – some of who have been following it post by post! We cannot thank everyone enough.”

Team member, Pini said he wanted to help raise money so, ‘Kisharon can keep running activities and help us with things that we need,’ while Shammai thanked everyone for their kind donations.

The crowdfunding campaign was given the theme  ‘ability’ – which everyone has regardless of their level of disability. Mindful of costs, Kisharon did not fund a new design campaign.

Donations can still be made at: www.kisharon.org.uk All donations are gratefully appreciated.
