Israeli Health Minister tells Kisharon to ‘keep up the good work’.

09 November 2015

Keen guitarist Akiva Deutsch had an appreciative audience when Yakov Litzman Israel’s Minister of Health visited Kisharon College and Adult Day Centre in Stamford Hill.

The Israeli delegation watched a music therapy session at the college, where Akiva is a student.

Mr Litzman joined a discussion on Kisharon’s Adult Employment scheme and heard that more than 80 employers are currently offering jobs to adults with learning disabilities.

Recalling that it was once common for people with learning disabilities to be taken away from their families, Mr Litzman urged Kisharon to “keep up the good work – what you are doing [for people with learning disabilities] is making a loud impression on heaven.”
