Choose a Challenge for 2017

20 January 2017

Our 2017 Challenge Events booklet is out now, so take on a Kisharon challenge in 2017!

A challenge is a fantastic way to raise money for Kisharon and get fit, and you’ll meet new people and have fun.

Kisharon’s fundraising team will support you every step of the way with training advice, ideas to raise money and motivation to keep you going.

Last year, challenge events brought in £135,000 which helped us to support adults and children with learning disabilities through education, employment and opportunities.

Kisharon Fundraising Events Coodinator Jo Lubbock said: “Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned athlete, Kisharon has a challenge to suit everyone.”

For anyone who wants to get fit, there are running, cycling, walking and triathlon events to choose from including the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon, the Jerusalem Marathon and the Color Run, a friendly and untimed run when participants are doused in coloured powder paint at each kilometre interval and celebrate with a Color Festival party at the finish line.

You can even support Kisharon and have fun just by doing your own thing. Why not organise a bake sale or hold a sponsored silence? The Kisharon Challenge brochure gives step-by-step guidance on bringing your own ideas to life and explains how Kisharon can support you.

If taking on a challenge doesn’t appeal but you would still like to help us, you could volunteer. Every day, volunteers work alongside paid staff in a variety of roles. There are plenty of regular, family and one-off volunteering opportunities. You could find yourself driving a minibus, helping in a shop, running an art session or befriending one of the adults or young people we support.
