Film breaks records

25 May 2017

Kisharon’s upbeat 2017 annual dinner video ‘I’m Good’ had more than 8,000 social media hits in a fortnight, making it the most watched Kisharon film to date.

The Mowgli’s and their musicans gave Kisharon permission to use the catchy soundtrack, and the film helped Kisharon to raise more than £1 million at the dinner at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel earlier this month.

The brief to film makers was to create a powerful, feelgood and upbeat experience, and selecting exactly the right soundtrack was far from straightforward, according to Karen Benveniste, Managing Director of Vanilla Films.

“A lot of research went into finding the perfect tune for Kisharon with the right lyrics that reflected the way people supported by Kisharon live their lives. ‘I’m Good’ was an instant winner.”

As many as 60 Kisharon adults and children from all parts of Kisharon appear in the film. Organising all of Kisharon’s ‘filmstars’ required meticulous planning skills. The dozens of props and placards held aloft by the stars of the film were all made by Equal Creative.

Karen said: “We created a film based on a music soundtrack for a client in the past but the difference this time is that we featured people with learning disabilities and this made it all the more challenging but so rewarding that everyone was able to contribute.”
