HCC@Kisharon has been shortlisted for a Times Educational Supplement (TES) award. The specialist provision, which opened in September 2014, is in the running for a prize in the Contribution to the Local Community category of the TES Further Education awards.
Four teenage boys from Hasmonean High School have been lending a hand to special needs pupils at Kisharon School as the volunteering component of their JLGB-organised Duke of Edinburgh bronze awards. Their weekly visits were organised by JLGB’s eVOLve team.
‘Through My Eyes’ the innovative Kisharon film first shown at the annual dinner in July has won a Gold EVCOM Clarion Award.
Rt Hon Iain Duncan Smith MP, Work and Pensions Secretary, was “very impressed” when he inaugurated Kisharon’s further education facility in Stamford Hill on Monday.
