Whistlestop tour impresses visitors

02 June 2015

Professionals from Jewish community centres worldwide learned lessons from Kisharon on a tour of its sites.

Starting from Kisharon’s Head Office, the 12 women from the USA, Israel and Ukraine saw Bus Stop Bikes and the Kisharon Print Shop, Tuffkid Nursery and Kisharon Day School.

The former Hanna Schwalbe Home, which is being converted into seven supported living apartments, and Kosher Kingdom, where Eli Cohen, works, was on their tour too.

The visit was organised by JCC Global which connects Jewish Community Centres worldwide and the European Council of Jewish Communities.

Sue Fox, executive director of Shorefront JCC which provides aid in Brooklyn, New York, said: “We’ve come here to learn about you and for you to learn about us. I want to take back what I have learned today so that we can strengthen and expand our programmes to be even more inclusive.”
