Virtual Chanukah ‘gelt’ will aid Kisharon

19 November 2015

Kisharon is hoping to raise more than £20,000 through an innovative appeal in which supporters are being asked to give virtual Chanukah ‘gelt’ (money). A social media campaign will follow a mail shot that will arrive through letter boxes prior to the festival.

In a letter to supporters, Chief Executive Dr Beverley Jacobson says: “We are offering you the opportunity to give virtual gelt to family and friends as a fun, original and unique Chanukah gift that directly benefits the children Kisharon supports.”

With a Chanukah donation of £36, Kisharon can provide a group session in a hydrotherapy pool to aid children with mobility problems and painful joints, and for £1,000, a child with complex learning disabilities can attend Tuffkid Nursery.

Kisharon relies on the community’s generosity so it can continue to provide support and opportunities for Jewish children and adults with the most profound physical and learning difficulties.

Donate now at www.kisharon.org.uk/gelt or call the Kisharon Fundraising Team on 020 3393 0177.
