Trustee David Rasouly

After years in the city’s financial sector, the dedication of Kisharon staff proved an eye-opener for Trustee David Rasouly.

“Staff really try to help people who do make progress as a result. The financial world is very different. It gives me pleasure to help Kisharon personally. I feel I can add value.”

David became a trustee six years ago when a relative with a severely autistic son heard Kisharon needed more financial expertise on its Trustee Board. David, an accountant, had just left a sparkling city career in mergers and acquistions that had included a spell at Japanese bank Nomura and US investment house Piper Jaffray. With a biochemistry qualification, achieved years back, he had raised funds for health care start ups too so his mind was never far from the therapeutic sector.

“I worked stupid hours but now had more time and wanted to give something back.”

Projects like the new Kisharon School involve input from all trustees, but with David’s financial background, he invariably gets immersed in Kisharon’s accounts alongside fellow Trustee Richard Levy.

He said: “It is a great honour and a wonderful experience to act as a trustee for Kisharon and to see the fantastic work that the organisation and its staff carry out every single day.  Kisharon has made incredible strides over recent years and we look forward to its continuing growth and success and to the exciting new school project ahead.”
