Childs Hill Library is a partnership library run by Kisharon
Staffed by enthusiastic volunteers, many from the Cricklewood community, the library provides employment opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. It is a welcoming hub where the local community can borrow books, join in the programme of activities or simply sit, read and meet their neighbours.
In addition to book lending services, the growing schedule of activities – some run by the Childs Hill community – includes the libraries’ Summer Reading Challenge, Baby Rhyme Time sessions, story reading for the under fives and coffee mornings.
The library space and garden is to be used as a backdrop for Kisharon activities and plans are in the pipeline for initiatives that will benefit the adults we support. One of them is a cycle repair drop off and pick up point run by Equal Bikes, which will launch soon in the library grounds.

Barnet Council is evaluating the changes made to library services in recent years and your views will count. Focus groups of parents of 11-18 year olds who may have been affected by changes to the library service are taking place. These will be an opportunity to review services and make recommendations.
