12 December 2019

Barnet Mayor Councillor Caroline Stock helped by Kisharon Chief Executive Richard Franklin helped plant apple and pear trees in the garden at Childs Hill Library.

The three Comice pear, one Concorde pear and three Braeburn apple saplings, funded through a grant from the Tree Council, will be tended by students from Kisharon’s Vocational College and local schoolchildren. Cllr Peter Zinkin donated the costs of preparing the ground.

Cllr. Stock said she was pleased that the garden would be cared for and enjoyed by the community and spoke about the benefits to the environment.
