Israeli volunteers at Kisharon School

15 October 2015

Four young Israeli volunteers are working at Kisharon Day School for a year.

The 19-year-olds are Shifra Yunger, Sivan Sagiv, Noa Goldreich and Maayan Fedder, all 19, are on the second year of their Sherut Leumi programme, an alternative to national service.

The girls spent last year volunteering with Israeli charities that support children with learning difficulties.

Shifra said: “At Kisharon, we help with arts and crafts activities and encourage the children to say tehilim for those injured in the conflict in Israel.”

All four have been making the most of their first trip to the UK with visits to Buckingham Palace, the National Gallery and other tourist attractions.
