Everything we sell in the gift shop is new, and the shop is a not for profit enterprise, so every penny of profit we make is transferred straight back into the Kisharon main charity and goes to help the people we support.

The shop itself also offers training and employment opportunities and lessons in customer service for people with learning disabilities and this can lead to regular paid employment.

The team at Kisharon’s Home & Giftware Store, Equal, constantly work to develop product ranges that can form the basis of arts and crafts sessions. We have a forward thinking; person centred approach to working with learning disabled people.

Purchasing anything from Kisharon’s Home & Giftware Store, Equal, supports Kisharon’s work – buying a pack of greetings cards, a decorated set of Shabbat candles or a decorated matchbox gives the adults we support in day centres the opportunity to work.

This crucially offers focus and a sense of purpose to our adults which can facilitate long term friendships and personal growth as individuals’ talents are developed through fun and fulfilling activities.
