Mitzvah Day, (Sunday November 17), at Kisharon is a celebration of the big outdoors with exciting gardening projects and a Kisharon vs Langdon football match.
There’s a mass of unwanted ivy that needs cutting back and holes to be dug ready for new trees at the Childs Hill Library garden in Cricklewood. And anyone up for a spot of painting can give the garden fences a fresh, protective coat of colour too.
The tasks in hand mean the work will go on all day with sessions in the morning and afternoon. Children from the North Western Reform Synagogue (Alyth Gardens) and adults and children from Woodside Park Synagogue will be joining a team of volunteers to get the jobs done.
The afternoon’s football match, organised by Maccabi GB’s Neil Taylor, will kick off at 2pm at Powerleague Mill Hill. People from Kisharon and Langdon and their carers are invited to join in the Mitzvah Day fun. One five-a-side pitch has been booked, but depending on the turnout, more pitches will be made available.
