The dream of providing supported living in Stamford Hill has become a reality at last.

Over the years, dozens of individuals with learning disabilities from the Stamford Hill community have attended Kisharon School and then its day service which makes supported living an obvious next step.

We are privileged now to be able to support this. The greatest barrier is the supply of housing stock, so if you are aware of any accommodation or an innovative way to provide this, please be in touch.

Another exciting initiative happening soon is Kisharon taking the reins of Childs Hill Library. In doing so we are looking for volunteers whose support will be crucial to the success of this venture. If you are thinking about this, let your ambivalence be overcome by the positive experiences expressed by our existing cohort of volunteers in a recent independent survey by JVN which is reported in K-News.

Kisharon continues to move forward at a fast rate but only due to the incredible and consistent support of so many – thank you!

“The world stands on three things: Torah, the service of G-d, and deeds of kindness.” Kisharon looks at the person not the disability, teaching Torah, Middos and Mitzvot embracing and cherishing everybody’s special talent and bringing out the best in them.
