Rabbi Dov Kaplan waved off ten of his congregants from Norrice Lea shul on the 100km London Nightrider bike ride, in support of Kisharon.
The intrepid cyclists – whose sponsorship monies will be shared with Israeli war veterans charity Beit Halochem set off on motzei Shabbos, cycling through the night past Tower Bridge, the London Eye and other landmarks.
Norrice Lea shul’s Martin Kaye put together the team. He said: “We all had a wonderful time, it was better than we imagined. One of the riders, Adam Freeman, had a GPS – the rest of us followed our noses.”Remaining members of the Norrice Lea team were Julian Lewis, Ben Cohen, Eli Ezra, Karina and James Kaufman, Dan Rickman and Laurence Katz.
Others raising funds for Kisharon were Ben Finger, Andrew Zucker, the brother-in-law of Human Resources Manager Lee Zucker and Chaim Strom.
