A rich and fulfilling life

14 June 2018

Kisharon’s two new flats in Leeside Cresent were filled within days and a flurry of applicants for accommodation confirm that supported living is a rich life for those with learning disabilities.

New tenants will move soon to the new homes, each with a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and bathroom in the grounds of the development in Golders Green.

Another individual will be supported by Kisharon at a property in Temple Fortune shortly, and two more will be moving to new homes later this year. Meanwhile, more people are showing interest in supported living and the waiting list is growing, said Adult Services Manager Hadassa Kessler.

“This significant increase is testament to the positive attitude of Kisharon’s staff who go out of their way to help people and appreciate that supported living is a way of life and not a service,” she said.

With referrals coming from family members through word of mouth, as well as through local authorities, Kisharon’s reputation for its supported living services is rippling through the community and this is a credit to our teams, Hadassa added.

Supported living provides security for an independent long-term future and is now regarded as the best option parents can offer their children.

If you would like to discuss supported living for someone you care for, call Hadassa for a confidential, exploratory discussion on 07815 479814.
