Top team help raise £6k

21 June 2017

Team Kisharon – people we support, staff and volunteers – turned out in force to help us raise £6k at the Maccabi GB Community Fun Run at Allianz Park.

In a fun-filled event, the seventy-five participants in Team Kisharon took part in the 10km, 5km or 1km events and in some cases, all three.

Among them was Kisharon Chief Executive Bev Jacobson, her husband Alan and daughters Talya, Dani and Gemma.

“It was a tremendous result,” said Kisharon Fundraising Events Coordinator Jo Lubbock. “We are so grateful to all of those who took part and raised money for Kisharon.”

Those attending had the chance to meet VIP guests including Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, Israeli Ambassador to the UK Mark Regev, the Mayor of Barnet Brian Salinger and Matthew Offord MP.

There were attractions for everyone, and stalls galore – including Kisharon’s where runners came to pick up goody bags before their event.

More than 6,500 visitors with 2,500 taking part made the fun run the UK’s biggest Jewish event, and money was raised for around 75 charities and schools.
