The Hackney Community Inclusion Project was established in collaboration with Hackney Local Authority and provides young people with learning difficulties an opportunity to develop independence skills within their own community. The students are encouraged to become self-supporting in accessing local facilities, travelling, shopping and cooking.
The project is in the heart of the Stamford Hill community and comprises separate male and female sites. Work opportunities in the community are actively sourced for both groups. Home industries have also been developed and Kisharon runs a horticulture business as well as a toy library with several new projects underway.
