College information

  • The college aims to establish independent living and prepare students to find a job.
  • Facilities replicate those at home so students can learn to do household chores and acquire skills for the workplace.
  • Work placements are arranged as part of the curriculum.
Kisharon College offers young adults an ASDAN accredited life skills course called ‘Pathway to Supported Employment and Independent Living’ designed to establish independent living skills and help students develop independence, social skills and prepare for the workplace with the end aim of finding a job.

Our state of the art facilities replicate home surroundings – similar to our supported living houses – so students can gain familiarity and experience with household chores as well as learning skills for the workplace.

The course runs for two or three years, 9am -4pm  Monday to Wednesday for 36 weeks. On Thursday and Friday (Friday mornings in winter) work placements take place.
