Disability Awareness Programmes
Two interesting educational programmes have recently taken place, inspirationally led by Gabby Gass.
The Hand in Hand programme run at JFS for year 9 pupils to enable them to gain an awareness of different disabilities. After four weekly sessions the programme culminated in students from Parson Street and the Day School joining the JFS pupils for lunch.
The Disability Awareness Programme ran from 13th - 15th July. Nine year 7 and 8 pupils attended the programme which consisted of simulation games, discussions and visits to different sites. The group visited the Nursery, the School and Business Centre.
