13 July 2018

Kisharon Chairman Philip Goldberg announced this week that Richard Franklin, Fundraising and Communications Director, will become Acting Chief Executive when Beverley Jacobson leaves the organisation in October. A robust recruitment process is planned to begin in the early autumn.

Philip Goldberg said: “I have every confidence that under Richard’s leadership and stewardship, and with the support of directors Paul Darnell and Julia Brown, the organisation will continue to make the strides it has in recent times for the benefit of the people we support.”

Bev said:  “This announcement allows me to leave knowing that the organisation is in good hands. Over the past five years Richard has passionately demonstrated his devotion to Kisharon. His approach to both fundraising and marketing has been bold and visionary and he has successfully put in place both the required systems and a talented staff team to deliver.

“As a result, Kisharon now enjoys a strong profile in the community and its annual voluntary revenue funding has increased by more than 50% over his tenure. Richard is extremely popular among the people supported by the organisation and by staff alike, and this news has been very well received by all.”
