Julia says…

26 October 2017

Immense appreciation is due to people we support, our staff, volunteers, families and to those who commission our services for their positive reaction and contribution to our plans to further integrate our services.

Following an initial consultation phase, agreement has been reached to integrate day and supported living, with the next stage to formalise the final structure with relevant teams and individuals.

This transformation will help us to champion collaborative ways of working, enabling our services to be more innovative, responsive and to drive forward greater opportunities for employment and skills training through our social enterprises.

We are already a Barnet preferred provider of supported living services and we are delighted to have just become a preferred provider for day opportunities. The work we do in supporting people with complex needs, in particular, has earned us a fine reputation.

Barnet is keen for us to provide more integrated, innovative, fit-for-purpose education, training and employment, day activities and supportive living programmes and integrating our adult services will let us build more flexibly on our achievements so far.

This new strategy will come into operation even more effectively following our relocation from Parson Street. Those we support and staff have been leading the way in reviewing and advising on potential relocation sites. Watch this space!
