Kisharon’s further education college, HCC@Kisharon, has been highly commended in the Times Educational Supplement Further Education Awards 2016.

The college, run in partnership with Kisharon and Hackney Community College at the Brenner Centre in Stamford Hill, received the accolade in the Contribution to the Community category at an awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

The awards recognise and reward achievements and innovation in further education. The 14 categories attracted hundreds of entries, all competing for a prestigious award.

Hackney Community College and Kisharon together developed courses and facilities. Students, aged between 16 and 25, are taught English, maths, IT and life skills alongside cultural and religious activities.
