Don’t miss African style hand-crafted pots and sculpture by Chris Bramble, designer of the month at Equal in Temple Fortune.

Chris studied art and design at Glasgow School of Art and spent two years in Zimbabwe working at the National Gallery in Harare. He moved to London in 1989, and from his studio in Kilburn runs pottery workshops and teaches and schools and colleges.

Many of his pieces are composite, with thrown, moulded and sculpted parts, and are created using several different clays. He is a great admirer of African craftsmanship and European sculpture and these two passions are reflected in his work.

He said: “Making each of my pieces is a meditation, and a spiritual and emotional activity which I can share with everyone including the people with learning disabilities supported by Kisharon.”

Kisharon’s shop, Equal is at 818 Finchley Road, London NW11 6XL
