Bev’s message

01 December 2016

As most of you will know, I spent the latter part of last week in the Antarctic with 50 runners from 18 countries around the world.

One of the most rewarding parts of the experience was how, over the four days we spent together in close quarters,  we really befriended, supported and helped each other.

Almost every person there commented on how moved they felt by the kindness they witnessed and how removed this was from their everyday experience. These comments made me feel really happy and proud.

Whilst, in the light of the strife around the world and the raw nationalism which has reared its head, this was indeed a heart-warming experience, yet I think that at Kisharon we are truly privileged to enjoy this kind of warmth, friendship and caring each and every day.

So I feel compelled, in reflection, to express my sincere appreciation to the people who attend our services, our staff, volunteers and supporters. Each of every one of you brings something so special to Kisharon. Thank you.
