The festival of Purim celebrates the Jewish people overcoming an onslaught planned by Haman that was motivated by hatred.  Throughout the story there is, amazingly, no mention of Hashem, which emphasises how sometimes our salvation is down to the way we interact, our collective efforts and proactivity.

Over the past few weeks, Kisharon has received a very warm welcome from local schools and overwhelming support. This Purim more than five hundred people will be collecting for Kisharon and through their efforts will be facilitating the journey to independence for those with learning disabilities who we support.

There can be no better way to embrace the festival. Thank you to those who are giving up their time to collect and to everyone who will be helping to fill the buckets.

Wishing you all a very joyous Purim.

“The world stands on three things: Torah, the service of G-d, and deeds of kindness.” Kisharon looks at the person not the disability, teaching Torah, Middos and Mitzvot embracing and cherishing everybody’s special talent and bringing out the best in them.
