Bev says…

29 August 2018

The year 5778 has been transformational for Kisharon. In addition to the supported living service growing by 20%, the vocational skills programme secured exciting employment outcomes, the Skills for Employment hub was opened and Childs Hill Library was refurbished. The year has also been a fantastic fundraising success with 90% of the £12.5m required to start building a new facility for Kisharon School now in. The school has not only received accreditation from the National Autistic Society, but has also converted to Free School status.

These successes, however, belong to you – Kisharon’s incredibly devoted Trustees, staff, volunteers and supporters. Through your efforts you have chosen to recognise, act and deliver for those who would otherwise be the most marginalised and vulnerable in our community. This Rosh Hashanah, the appeal mailing, personalised honey enterprise and the design, painting and sales of New Year products have provided thousands of hours of employment for many individuals supported by Kisharon. The momentum you have created will continue to drive Kisharon forward into 5779, providing even more opportunities for those we support to enjoy successful and fulfilling lives in the community.

May success and fulfilment be yours too, and may you be inscribed for a year of good health and peace.

Pirkei Avos
“The world stands on three things: Torah, the service of G-d, and deeds of kindness.” Kisharon looks at the person not the disability, teaching Torah, Middos and Mitzvot embracing and cherishing everybody’s special talent and bringing out the best in them.
