Bev is awards finalist

13 July 2016

Bev Jacobson’s inspirational leadership of Kisharon has put her in the running for an award as Charity Principal of the Year.

She is a finalist in the 2016 Charity Times Awards. The winner will be announced at a gala dinner on September 28.

Bev said: “Although this is hugely flattering, in all honesty, the credit for the charity’s success and this shortlisting really belongs to the strength of our Trustees, our talented and professional executive team and the huge dedication of every member of our staff. Thank you to you all!”

Since Bev became Chief Executive eight years ago, Kisharon has become a flourishing innovative organisation that leads the field of learning disability.

Bev has not only revolutionised Kisharon’s operating culture and efficiency, but her energy and ambition for individuals with learning disabilities is palpable, and outstanding outcomes are being achieved.

Bev added: “I am delighted that we are giving a voice to people with learning disabilities and making huge progress in this field.”

The awards, run by Charity Times Magazine, celebrate best practice in the UK charity and not-for-profit sectors.
