Award for Childs Hill Library volunteers

20 June 2019

Volunteers at Kisharon’s Childs Hill Library were among those highly commended in Barnet’s fifth Our Stars Staff Awards at Allianz Park in Mill Hill last week.

Staff from the four partnership libraries in the borough impressed judges with their combination of hard work and excellent commitment to customer service and won the runner-up award in the Outstanding Contribution to the Community category. Staff were praised for running a range of activities and events for the community, offering a friendly face for the isolated, and delivering a traditional library service to a high standard.
Sarah Adler, who represented Childs Hill Library at the event, said: “I was sitting with staff from other partnership libraries and we were so surprised by the win. We didn’t expect it at all.”  Sarah was delighted to meet the new Mayor of Barnet, Councillor Caroline Stock and invited her to visit Kisharon during her year of office.
