Kisharon is a growing organisation offering a broad range of education and social care to children and adults with complex learning difficulties in the Jewish community.

We are passionate about fulfilling our mission of supporting each unique person so they can progress, achieve independence, enjoy life and be included in the communities in which they live through meaningful vocation and a fulfilling social life.

About Us

With around 170 passionate and committed staff, and many equally committed volunteers, Kisharon delivers a top quality service across our Nursery, School, Adult Day Services, Supported Living Services, Business Enterprise Centre and Head Office to a spectrum of individuals of all ages, needs and abilities.

We work with children, adults and communities in North West and North London. We have an absolute commitment to keeping the vulnerable adults and children we work with safe, and this is reflected in a range of safeguarding steps in our recruitment process, including a DBS criminal record check.

Training

At Kisharon we believe that learning and development are central to the working lives of our staff to enable them to fulfil their potential and provide the best possible service, whatever their role. Kisharon is deeply committed to the development of our staff. We pride ourselves on our robust training schedule, which provides mandatory and non-mandatory training for staff in many areas of Kisharon. These qualifications enable career progression within Kisharon.

QCF Qualifications

We strongly encourage our support staff to achieve QCF qualifications in Health and Social Care.

Management Development

We run a management development programme to support both experienced managers and those new to managing people. We also offer a wide range of e-learning courses to support ongoing development.

FAQ

Is it possible to gain a qualification while working at Kisharon? We offer many of our staff the opportunity to gain qualifications while working at Kisharon.

Will I need to be familiar with Jewish culture and faith to be successful in obtaining a job? No. Kisharon takes great pride in our multicultural workforce and encourages applicants from every background. Ongoing education around Kisharon’s religious ethos is provided. We would expect any potential employee to be culturally sensitive and carry out their role in a way that is sensitive to the cultural, religious and all other aspects of the lives of those we support.

Do you make reasonable adjustments for disabled candidates? Yes. We will make any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, and when employing people with disabilities. Please let us know if you have any requests.
