With Handel’s glorious Water Music in the background, Tuffkid Nursery children let their emotional responses to the music guide the blue and white paint through their fingers and onto the paper.
The children listened to Indian water music too – doing finger painting at the same time. They enjoyed the feel of the cold paint on their fingers and after the music stopped, looked to see what they had drawn.
Continuing the theme of water, the children learned about wells. Using a bucket and a winding mechanism they drew water from a large container, and found out that it was hard work!
Afterwards, the children looked at objects that floated – and those that sunk.
