Over the years Wills have been a lifeline to an organisation such as ours. Surprisingly though, many people still fail to make a Will at all. They assume "it will work itself out" and "the right people will get what they deserve". Never mind the charities they may have wanted to leave money to, without a Will their nearest and dearest could also miss out. In the absence of any formal instructions, the law decides how an Estate should be shared out. A spouse or partner doesn't automatically inherit everything. The way to avoid all this is a professionally drawn-up Will. (Remember a home-made Will is quite often not a legally binding document.) Once drawn up, you can periodically review the Will to make sure it still reflects your wishes. These may include a gift to charity. History points to ours as one of the community's most important. Now more than ever we think it's one of the most deserving. As much of our work receives no statutory funding, it lives or dies entirely as a matter of the community's generosity. If you include a legacy to Kisharon in your Will, many of our services can live on and flourish. Especially as whatever you give is free of inheritance tax. I GIVE to Kisharon (Registered Charity No. 271 519) of 1011 Finchley Road, London NW11 7HB the sum of (in figures and words) £ (or items specified) free of all duty for its general charitable purposes and I DECLARE that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper Officer of Kisharon for the time being shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executor(s) for the said legacy

Residuary legacy

I GIVE the residue (or a % share of the residue) of my estate absolutely to Kisharon (Registered Charity No 271 519) of 1011 Finchley Road, London NW11 7HB for its general charitable purposes and I DECLARE that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper Officer of Kisharon for the time being shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executor(s) for the said legacy.
